2010 U14 BOYS CO-COACHES

SHANE & WENDY JENNINGS

Shane and Wendy Jennings have been playing volleyball for over 30 years. Having met on a volleyball court at university, they have continued to play together, as well on separate teams. Shane played club ball for Far West out of Victoria, finishing third in the National U17 Championships and participated in the Canadian Junior National Team Program. From there he went on to play for Vancouver Island University for two years. Once in the military, Shane played for numerous teams, as well as a touring mixed club team in Germany. Wendy played club volleyball with Shadow out of Vancouver before playing for the Simon Fraser University woman's team. While in Germany, she also played for the touring club team, and a woman's club team representing the Black Forest. Upon returning to Canada, she played competitive woman's volleyball in Ottawa. Shane began his coaching career last year, heading up the Saints U13 boys inaugural season. He is working on his Level 1 NCCP coaching certificate. Wendy has coached for over 25 years in basketball, volleyball, soccer, in school and club, male and female, ages 4 - 17. She has her NCCP Senior level coaching for soccer, and is working on her Level 1 for volleyball. Wendy joined the Saints for their inaugural season as well, coaching the U15 girls Black to a 13th placing in the province. Their coaching philosophy has been developed over many years of playing, coaching, and parenting their three teenage boys!

› We welcome Jocelyn Blair to our coaching team for the 2010 club season. Jocelyn, a UofA Panda alumnus, recently competed at the Universiade games for Team Canada. She will be the head coach for our U15 girls team.

› We welcome Erminia Russo to our coaching team as the Technical Director of Coaching for the club. Eriminia was the UBC womens VB coach and CIS coach of the year. She has, and will continue to provide, VB clinics to our senior teams as well.

› We welcome Anthony Wong to our coaching team for the 2010 club season. Tony has coaching experience at the club, high school and college level and brings a wealth of experience to our club. He will be the head coach of our U16 girls team.
